On Road

The Nissan Patrol boasts an impressive All-Terrain Suspension incorporating an advanced heavy duty coil spring suspension that provides superior durability and riding comfort both on and off road. Both front and rear suspensions feature telescopic shock absorbers.

Stability

One of the key reasons for the Patrol's sheer driveability is the feeling of stability and confidence you enjoy behind the wheel. This is largely due to a sturdy separate ladder chassis specially engineered for stability during high speed cruising and on rough terrain, as well as a stabilizer bar that enhances stability even when cornering.

Off Road

Patrol offers a choice between 2WD to the rear wheels for normal cruising or switching to 4WD on the move. A dual range transfer gearbox gives you the further option of switching from high to low ratios when the terrain gets more demanding. A rear limited slip differential is standard on all models for enhanced off road traction.

Steering

The steering system has been designed to deliver sharp responsive handling at all times. Whichever engine powers your Patrol, and whatever terrain you traverse, you'll find the responsive power steering never becomes fatiguing.
